Հատված
In biology metamorphosis is a process used by certain amphibians, arthropods, cnidarians, mollusks, and echinoderms to develop from a juvenile into an adult stage. The larvae may resemble the miniature versions of the adults, or look entirely different, but in most cases they have a fundamentally different physiology, including their special organs. It can permanently change the organism՚s capabilities.
One of the most popular conceptions of metamorphosis in nature is the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly, which has culturally been seen as a metaphor for transformation and rebirth for a long time, symbolyzing the emergence of a beautiful butterfly from an ugly caterpillar.
